So the question I&#8217;d like to ask you is..: What one thing this year would make the biggest difference to your practice?<\/p>\n<p>So when YOU were first starting out Mark &#8211; 22 years ago, what do you think would have made the biggest difference for you back then?<\/p>\n<p>Mark: Well&#8230;at first&#8230;and this isn&#8217;t going to be too much of a bombshell&#8230;Getting enough clients was really hard..I really needed the money&#8230;and I found it hard to believe that I could actually make a living through therapy&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t know how to market my practice and if I had got better help earlier on could have grown my practice faster&#8230;Another issue for me back then was&#8230;I guess I didn&#8217;t have the confidence to feel I could treat everybody who came to see me&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I used to believe that if someone was depressed for example that I didn&#8217;t have all the skills to treat them&#8230;so better therapeutic skills was a big thing&#8230;which is why even when I was up and running seeing clients&#8230;I was learning therapeutic strategies to help everybody and anybody who came through my therapy door&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Roger: Okay&#8230;so we know from working with practitioners over the years that those two concerns are&#8230;pretty common &#8230;.So&#8230;get in touch and let us know what single change this year would make the biggest difference to your practice.<\/p>\n<p>So it might be something on the business side &#8211; like specific business or marketing skills for instance &#8211; and I&#8217;ll help you with those and we&#8217;ll do our best to help you in any other ways too because this is such a great time of year to take stock and focus on your goals for this coming year.<\/p>\n<p>Mark: So there you go &#8211; let us know what would make the biggest difference for you in the comments below and if we can help, we will.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll either answer you right away or we&#8217;ll plan in an article or another piece of content into our content calendar to help you get where you want to be.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll see you in the comments, and Happy New Year!<\/p>\n<p>Roger: Happy New Year! :-)<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mark and Roger&#8217;s fireside chat for the New Year.
