How long have you been practising?<\/strong><\/p>\n

10 years.<\/p>\n

What sort of practitioner are you?<\/strong><\/p>\n

As an esoteric teacher of consciousness studies my work with Hypnotherapist and Alternative Therapies, is based upon understanding the language of the subconscious mind and the self-conscious mind. My clients and students seek change at fundamentally the same level, looking for personality shifts in support of a more whole presence in this life.<\/p>\n

Do you see clients from home or in a clinic?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Home office.
\n\nWhat problems\/issues do you treat most frequently?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Self-esteem, self-confidence, and anxiety. However a base of my clients has developed into traditional hypnosis work such as quitting smoking and weight loss.<\/p>\n

What are your biggest frustrations running your practice?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Marketing. A necessary evil J.<\/p>\n

What do you find hardest about your daily work?<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is my challenge. I have not found a community of practitioners.<\/p>\n

What training have you done that has really helped you in your therapy work?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My esoteric studies have given me an understanding of human consciousness that no amount of formal studies could provide. And, Ericksonian Hypnosis training.<\/p>\n

How do you balance work and life?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My dogs…adore them and love being outside with them. Playing Frisbee and walking them. Time with my husband.<\/p>\n

What frustrates you most about the way mental health is dealt with in your country?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Everything in the US about health care is frustrating. Mental health care is a misnomer.<\/p>\n

Can you tell us about your most uplifting experience treating a recent client? (anonymously of course!)<\/strong><\/p>\n

A client came for fear of heights. As it turned out he was a survivor of Hamburger Hill in Vietnam. His fear of heights was tied to his PTSD stemming from his experiences during the war. He had struggled his whole life with the trauma. His original reason for coming to me was that he was unable to go up on ski lifts up north and drive up the mountain at his winter resort with his wife. The hypnotherapy work that we did combined with our conversation about the mind and how it works shifted him. I got a text from him a few weeks later, “been driving up the mountain…looking for new vistas to climb!” He came to see me a couple months later the work had shifted his PTSD dramatically and he was in tears! If he were the only person I helped, my work life would be classified as fulfilling.<\/p>\n
