I really enjoyed the Rewind Technique course created by Uncommon Practitioners. The course materials were easy to follow and everything was extremely well explained and clear. I especially liked the diagram used with the dolls to explain the technique and the supportive materials shared, including the explanation of why traumatic memories stay in our memory and how the Rewind Technique helps the brain process them. It’s helped me a lot to explain it to the clients. I also found it really valuable to learn about the Primal Human Needs and to watch the recorded case studies with the technique demonstrated.

I was able to start helping my clients straight away and help someone resolve a lifelong PTSD. I would recommend this to all practitioners.

The UPTV has been amazing for my growth as a practitioner. I love watching the live demonstrations with the clients and seeing how I could use the techniques I learned in creative ways. I have qualified as a hypnotherapist three years ago and I only recently started to practice it with clients, so this UPTV has been a gift from God in my learning journey. The conversations with the clients help me massively to expand my knowledge and to feel confident in taking on clients with similar issues I saw demonstrated in the video. Previously, I wouldn’t have had the confidence that I can help clients. The courses here are very well put together with clear examples and videos where we can creatively use each technique. They are an amazing resource to learn about therapy and improve my techniques and it is something I wish all counselling school would recommend. I have been watching or listening to a client video twice a week and each time I am learning new things to support my client. I’ve had positive and rapid results with my clients due to this channel. I would recommend this to all the therapists.

This course was really engaging and insightful. I’ve noticed that when using metaphors and imagery with clients, they tend to get more animated and say, “That’s it! That’s what it’s like!” It is then easy to loop back to and build on that imagery.

I found the examples in this course are also a great conversation starter in groups. When we share a metaphorical story, they create imagery around it and discuss the meaning behind it.

I found the reframing course very helpful in diving deep into how to move clients on from negative self talk or negative beliefs. There were many examples of how to take a limiting belief and use story or metaphor to shift away from it. I even caught myself using some of the techniques on my own thinking!

The courses you make available are so valuable compared to previous courses I have gone through, both in South Africa and in Namibia. Not that other courses are not good, but this course is so valuable because you can go back to any detail again and again and refresh and discover so much more detail as you dig yourself deeper into the context. I get the feeling that you withhold no detail of your valuable knowledge, you give your all – even sometimes your “shortcomings” made in the past – that gives us so much more hope for own development.

The Uncommon Hypnotherapy course is a great way to learn how to use hypnotherapy techniques in clinical practice. The course is very comprehensive and engaging. It’s also very helpful that the course provides the opportunity to learn at one’s own pace. I highly recommend this course for any practitioner wanting to learn how to use hypnotherapy in their practice.

I have benefited from incorporating some of the shared techniques modeled in your videos. For example, in working with clients who struggle with a number of disorders, I was able to identify and work on issues that were most urgent in order to assist the client with managing daily problems that interfere with their daily lives.

The whole course is simply amazing! I really love it. I started doing inductions and deepeners according to the course scripts and my clients commented, “Wow, that was very deep, I felt so relaxed, I was so deep I could never believe that I can relax so deeply.”

While before the course, my inductions were lacking power and I didn’t know how to be more effective in relaxing my clients. Now I’m so pleased with the inductions and all the course material I learned in the course. Because of this course I’m a better therapist now (I can honestly say this!).

One thing I liked in particular is “splitting”, which for me is the cream of the course! And there’s so much more! It’s a very valuable course with videos and PDF material – course available in any form. I highly recommend it!

I’m a way better therapist now, even though I’m a trained hypnotherapy practitioner from another college. This course takes my therapies to another level now. I’m very happy I did the course; the skills I accrued are priceless!

If you want to feel like a true Hypnotherapist, this course will do the job! The techniques and course content are clearly explained and a rational provided for their use. The course is exciting in that it provides more of a challenge to the therapist as there is a great deal to think about and to master. It promotes self-confidence and can be exciting if a therapist has been working in the same way over many years and is seeking something more. It can ‘spark’ you into action!
