I’ve only recently been certified as a consulting hypnotist, and have not yet begun my practice. UPTV is rounding out my education and providing resources I didn’t get in my certification course. Each video involves a full length counselling session with a real client, and is followed by a short overview of the process by two counsellors. The videos provide a valuable and useful perspective of the counselling practice.

Watching real therapy with real clients is the best training possible. I learned not only new techniques, but how to better apply many hypnotic techniques that I was already using. I feel so much more fluid and confident to improvise now. The art of utilisation is what makes live therapy so different from online or set scripts. You can almost see Mark’s brain whirring as he files this information ready to use later, weaving it smoothly into the conversation. And I didn’t know it was OK to take your client in and out of trance several times almost casually. To do this the therapist must have their finger right on the pulse, and this training shows how to do just that. It’s challenging and exciting.

It is useful, because you get to be a fly on the wall watching first class practice at work. Then it is analyzed for you. An excellent way of making the tricks yours. You can also rewind as much as you want until you are sure you have understood.
