How hypnosis diminished a client’s severe anxiety in 1 session

In the first presentation of The Uses of Hypnosis in Psychotherapy, you'll see live footage of a client I worked with who presented with multiple issues, including severe anxiety.

Welcome to the first video from ‘The Uses of Hypnosis in Psychotherapy’.

This series is all about showing why I think hypnosis is an essential tool for any therapy practitioner.

In this video you’ll see live footage of me working with Frances who suffers from severe anxiety.

Haunted by the terrifying memories of an abusive relationship, Frances’s anxiety manifested itself in many ways.

One was the compulsion to park somewhere that enabled her to make a fast exit. Even though she knew logically she didn’t need to do that, she felt compelled to do this in order to feel safe.

For me, the best part of this video is the clip from our session a week later – where Frances is smiling and tells me how much easier her week has been and the progress she’s already made on her therapy goals.

All my best,

Mark Tyrrell
